Almonds: The perfect snack

When it comes to watching your weight, almonds are one of the best snacks you can have.
They are extremely healthy and loaded with healthy fat, fiber, and complex carbohydrates, along with vitamins and minerals.
There are all different types of carbs you can have, but if you’re trying to lose weight you don’t want to eat a lot of starchy carbs found in the like of potatoes and yams.
Also cutting down on eating bread, pasta, and rice, while getting carbs from leafy green vegetables, fruits, and nuts will allow you to slim down in a hurry. Of course, you should be exercising regularly as well.
As far as nuts go, almonds are a great snack to work into your diet. They taste good, will help fill you up and get nutrients in a healthy way.
It’s best to eat dry roasted, unsalted almonds. Roasted almonds usually taste better, but do not purchase almonds roasted in oil.
It’s not hard to roast your own almonds. Place almonds on a baking sheet in the oven and cook them for approximately 10 minutes.
You can also put almonds on cereal or ice cream, mix them with fruits like blueberries.
Almonds are proven by research to help lower cholesterol, reduce heart disease risk and also prevent other health problems.
