FTC cracks down on false weight-loss products

The Federal Trade Commission has charged four companies for deceiving consumers with unfounded weight-loss promises.
Sensa Products, L’Occitane, HCG Diet Direct and LeanSpa did not admit nor deny fault in the case, but will collectively pay $34 million to refund consumers.
If you don’t know by now, it is impossible to get a gym body without going to the gym. There still is no miracle pill to shed the pounds away. Sprinkling powder on food or using thigh-slimming cream may entice consumers desperate for weight-loss, but as the saying goes, “If it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t.”
Just like get-ruch quick schemes rarely work, neither do get-fit quick diets or gadgets.
Getting fit still comes down to eating healthy and exercising consistently.
