18 Feb Three Ways to Burn Excess Fat
Are you trying to burn away some of your excess body fat? If you are like most people, one of the main reasons you are working out is to try to slim down your body and melt away the excess weight. If this is your goal, there are many things you should keep in mind in order to get the most out of your workout routine.
Keep it Going
One of the most important things to remember when working out for fat removal is that you need to work out for a long period of time in order to burn away fat. If you are trying to improve your cardio performance, working out hard for 15 minutes may be the best route to go. If you want to burn fat, on the other hand, you need to engage in the activity for a longer period of time. Everyone knows that cardio exercise is great for burning calories – but make sure to burn those calories from fat by working out for at least 45 minutes at time.
Keep in mind that your goal is not to workout to the point where you are out of breath. If your body is lacking oxygen, you will burn glycogen rather than fat. Work smarter not harder!
Get the Entire Body Involved
The more major muscle groups you involve in your workout, the more calories you will burn. Therefore, you should make an effort to exercise as many of your major muscle groups as you can. Some activities that can provide a good whole-body workout include:
· Elliptical Trainer Exercises
· Indoor Rock Climbing
· Lifting Weights
· Martial Arts
· Treadmill Exercises
Since there are so many great fat-burning exercises available to you, it is easy to vary your workout routine in order to prevent boredom from setting in.
Spread It Out
If your schedule permits, work in some fat burning exercises a couple times per day. Since these exercises engage your major muscle groups, your metabolism will be increased after you do these exercises. As a result, you will burn more calories even when your exercise routine is over. In short – the more often you exercise, the more fat burning enzymes your body will have.
